1. Friday FUNnight-Friday, July 10 this week we will be selling concessions for Friday Funnight- Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, and veggie burgers as well as chips and drinks and treats. We will start the concessions sale at 6pm and go until 7:30pm so families can eat and be ready for the team activity afterwards; we will be making team decorations to bring to the PIRC relays with a Space theme and doing the team scavenger hunt! Come out, enjoy the pool and make some great space decor to bring with us to Tally ho on Sunday!

2. A meet AWAY at Glenmont Saturday, July 11. Theme: Country Club/Golfers. Be on deck by 8:00am.

Pool Address:

12621 Dalewood Dr, Wheaton, MD 20902

Parking:

We have a large parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. We recommend that you park in an available space and not along the curb unless there are no spaces left in the lot. The Park Police will give tickets when there are empty spaces available to park. Also, avoid the spaces just outside the entrance that are labeled employee parking.

Entering the pool:

The main gate to the guard house/bathhouses is closed on Saturday morning. There is a gate to the far left that will be open. As you walk thru the gate, go towards the bathhouses and then turn left immediately before you reach them. Once you go down the steps, stay to your left until you reach the far end of the pool to reach your team area.

Visiting Team Area:

There are a couple of bleachers in your team area. We recommend that families bring chairs since there is not a lot of them at the pool. Also, we don't have much shade so you should bring tents if you have them.

Warm-ups:

Glenmont: 8:00-8:20am

Rockshire: 8:20-8:40am

Meetings:

Officials: 8:20am

Timers: 8:40am

Scratch: 8:45am

Concessions:

We will serve assorted breakfast items including donuts, muffins, coffee, snacks, water and Gatorade. We accept cash and Venmo.

Volunteer Hospitality

We will have refreshments for meet volunteers during halftime.

3. PIRC relays at Tally Ho Sunday, July 12. Theme: Outer Space! Be on Deck by 8:00am. Some additional information from Tally Ho:

SAME FORMAT AS LAST YEAR:

We are not using timers or relay cards for PIRC. We will have finishing judges determine places 1-6 for each heat of each event and hand out ribbons accordingly. Ribbons will be pre-printed with the event name and slots to write in the members of the relay team receiving that place. Each participating PIRC team will need to provide ribbon writers to write in the names of swimmers from their teams.

MEET START TIME: 9:00 AM

ARRIVAL TIME: You may enter the pool at 7:00am to decorate your team area or the night before anytime between 7-9pm. If you are not decorating your team area, please have those swimmers and families arrive at 745am.
