Hello Rockshire Sharks!

Whew! It was a hot one last night! We have a couple of adjustments to practice times on Friday as well as the concessions. Please see all details below to help keep our swimmers fast, cool, and to celebrate our seniors!

1. Firecracker relays- 9am at the pool . Because July 4 & 5 we have meets, we will do our Firecracker relays in the place of morning practice on July 3. Swim team members will participate in a series of fun races and games, and all families and swimmers are welcome for a light breakfast afterwards (donuts and fruit). We will also have our senior trivia after our relays!

2. Friday FUNight, afternoon practice and preteam are Canceled for July 3 due to extreme heat. All swimmers should rest up and hydrate for the meets Saturday and Sunday! Concessions sale will be moved to next Friday.

3. HOME A meet vs. West Hillandale Saturday, July 4 ***Senior meet*** Theme: USA Lunch afterwards at Potomac Pizza. Arrive on deck by 7:45am. Meet details are as follows:

Rockshire warm-ups: 8:00-8:20 AM

West Hillandale warm-ups: 8:20-8:40 AM

Officials’ meetings: 8:30 AM

Timers meeting: 8:35 AM

Scratch meeting: 8:45 AM

Meet starts: 9:00 AM

***Seniors will be celebrated at halftime!***

4. Relay Carnival at West Hillandale on Sunday, July 5. Arrival time: 8am. Warmup time: 8:30am. We will be in the baby pool area for our team area. This meet is a meet of just relays and is a very fun meet. We will wear our tie dye shirts. Winners of all of the events qualify to swim in the relay carnival all stars on July 25. Please be prompt and on time to the meet; every race 3 other swimmers are depending on you to arrive ready to go! Here is the run of the show:

*** We are also looking for 4 parents who would like to swim in the parent relay on Sunday. This is low key and fun- if you have a swimmer in the meet and would like to swim, please let us know!

5. Divisional shirt preorder: Want to purchase a divisionals shirt? Please fill out the preorder form here by July 4 to get the preorder price. We will also have a limited number of additional shirts for sale at the divisionals meet on July 18.

6. Coaches Long Course (CLC) is an MSCL wide meet on Tuesday, July 7 at Rockville Swim center. For anyone who wants to attend, it is a great meet to see the talent in the league and see some great swimming! We will combine afternoon 9-10 and 8&under on this evening to accommodate for coaches and swimmers who wish to attend. No changes for preteamers!

7. HOME meet vs. Inverness Wednesday, July 8- Be on Deck at 4:45pm. Theme: Dynamic duos! Here is the meet schedule:

Rockshire Warmup: 5:00pm-5:20pm

Inverness Warm up: 5:20pm-5:40pm

Officials meeting: 5:35pm

Timers meeting: 5:40pm

Preteam races: 5:55pm

Meet start time: 6:00pm
