Hello Rockshire Sharks!

Wow! What an amazing job everyone did yesterday in turning an away meet into a HOME meet! What a testament to all of the families adjusting, our swimmers staying positive and enthusiastic, our coaches getting all of the swimmers prepared, and all of the volunteers who moved into action at the last minute. We truly have a wonderful community!

1. Friday FunNight June 19- Grill out! Join us for our Friday dinner this week after practice. We will be taking out the grill and making hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers. Please sign up in Swimtopia (on the website) to bring meat, buns, a salad, drinks or dessert! A fun team event will follow dinner.

2. A meet Saturday, June 20- HOME vs Potomac Glen. Theme: Twins. Please arrive on deck by 7:45am. We will be heading to Poyoteca for the team lunch after the meet!

The timeline for the meet is as follows:

Rockshire warm-ups: 8:00-8:20 AM

Potomac Glen warm-ups: 8:20-8:40 AM

Officials’ meetings: 8:30 AM

Timers meeting: 8:35 AM

Scratch meeting: 8:45 AM

Meet starts: 9:00 AM

3. Looking for something fun to do during the long weekend? We will be taking a team trip to Hershey Park on June 21! At this point, the ticket price has increased but is still very low and is $42/ticket. ***Last day to sign up is today by 3pm*** Please sign up by completing this survey and paying the $42 for each ticket via Venmo to @RockshireSharks or by check to Elena Belyaev, our treasurer. Families will be responsible for their own food, parking, and accommodations if desired. Parking can be purchased here: HP Parking Pass. We will meet at the entry fountain by Candimonium at 11am for a team photo before enjoying the park. All tickets will be printed and distributed at practice on Thursday, Friday and at the meet on Saturday.

4. B Meet Away at Tally Ho on Wednesday, June 24. Theme: Disney/Marvel. Please be on Deck by 5:00. More meet details will follow next week!
