1. Preteam Practices Start tonight! Please make sure to be on deck for the session you signed up for. There are 2 sessions 5:30-6pm and 6-6:30pm. Look for Coach Sean and the preteam coaches on the far end of the pool by the shallow water.
2. Our first B meet with Kickboard races is at Eldwick on Wednesday, June 17. Theme: Pajama Party. Be on Deck at 4:45pm. Some details from the host team:

We have a parking lot at the pool but If the lot fills up, there is curbside parking available throughout the surrounding neighborhood (all within a short walking distance).

Pre-meet schedule:

5:00- 5:20pm - Eldwick warm-up

5:25- 5:45pm - Rockshire warm-up

5:20 pm - Officials Meeting (baby pool area)

5:30 pm - Timers Briefing with Head Timer and Starter (baby pool area)

5:45 pm - Scratch meeting with Referee, Coaches, Team Reps, and Clerk of Course by automation.

5:55 pm - Report to Positions (Officials & Timers)

5:55 pm - National Anthem

6:00 pm - Meet starts (kickboard races first)

Team Areas:

Your team area will be on the grass near the deep end of the pool where the swimmers take off. You are welcome to bring any canopies etc. There will be some lounge chairs in your area, but you are also welcome to bring chairs with you.

We will have a variety of food items and concessions available, including burgers, hot dogs, and pizza. Payment can be made by cash, card, or Venmo.

3. Friday FunNight June 19- Grill out! Join us for our Friday dinner this week after practice. We will be taking out the grill and making hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers. Please sign up in Swimtopia (on the website) to bring meat, buns, a salad, drinks or dessert! A fun team event will follow dinner.

4. A meet Saturday, June 20- HOME vs Potomac Glen. Theme: Twins. Please arrive on deck by 7:45am. We will be heading to Poyoteca for the team lunch after the meet!

The timeline for the meet is as follows:

Rockshire warm-ups: 8:00-8:20 AM

Potomac Glen warm-ups: 8:20-8:40 AM

Officials’ meetings: 8:30 AM

Timers meeting: 8:35 AM

Scratch meeting: 8:45 AM

Meet starts: 9:00 AM

5. Looking for something fun to do during the long weekend? We will be taking a team trip to Hershey Park on June 21! At this point, the ticket price has increased but is still very low and is $42/ticket. Please sign up by completing this survey and paying the $42 for each ticket via Venmo to @RockshireSharks or by check to Elena Belyaev, our treasurer. Families will be responsible for their own food, parking, and accommodations if desired. Parking can be purchased here: HP Parking Pass. We will meet at the entry fountain by Candimonium at 11am for a team photo before enjoying the park. All tickets will be printed and distributed at practice on Thursday, Friday and at the meet on Saturday.
