1. Regular and preteam photos will take place tonight, Thursday, June 11 at 4:30pm. Please arrive at 4:15pm so we can line up! Preteamers should line up around 4:30 and will have their picture taken immediately after. The preteam parent meeting will be after their photo is over (around 5pm). On this day, there will be no 11&up practice, but the rest of the practices will run as scheduled.

2. Please remind all swimmers to use the showers respectfully for their correct purposes. Our lifeguards are working hard to maintain the bathrooms, and have notified us that swimmers have been misusing bathrooms. Please encourage good habits in bathroom and shower usage.

3. Friday FUNnight will be back on Friday, June 12 starting at 6:30pm in the poolhouse. A fun team event will also help get our swimmers ready before our first A meet on Saturday! Please sign up to bring a dish to share on the website!

4. Our first A meet is this Saturday, June 13 at 9:00am at Montgomery Square (12300 Falls Rd, Potomac, MD 20854 ) Theme: Minions. Lunch Afterwards at Shake Shack. Here are the details about the meet:

PARKING

Parking is available in our pool lot. Overflow parking can be found in the neighborhood across Falls Road. Note that this is a busy road. There is a pedestrian crosswalk. We do ask our members to limit their vehicles to one per family or walk to the pool.

LOGISTICS

• Team Area: Your team area is by the sports courts, behind the diving boards. We recommend bringing tents as this area gets a lot of sun.
• Clerk of Course: Located near the diving board/slide, near the well.
• Automation and Awards: Located underneath the deck, near our entrance.

CONCESSIONS

We will have a concession stand available on Saturday morning offering coffee, water, Gatorade, sodas, bagels, doughnuts, and a few other snacks. Our concession stand accepts cash and Venmo.

VOLUNTEER HOSPITALITY

There will be refreshments for meet volunteers during halftime. Please ask your volunteers to bring a refillable water bottle to use during the meet. Our water fountain has a bottle filling station.

5. The Community Picnic is back! On Sunday, June 14 2-5pm, the Community picnic will be at the poolhouse and surrounding areas. Stay tuned for times and how to get involved!

6. Our first B meet with Kickboard races is at Eldwick on Wednesday, June 17. Theme: Pajama Party. Be on Deck at 4:45pm. See you there!

7. Looking for something fun to do during the long weekend? We will be taking a team trip to Hershey Park on June 21! At this point, the ticket price has increased but is still very low and is $42/ticket. Please sign up by completing this survey and paying the $42 for each ticket via Venmo to @RockshireSharks or by check to Elena Belyaev, our treasurer. Families will be responsible for their own food, parking, and accommodations if desired. Further details will be forthcoming.
