Hello everyone! 

We hope you all enjoyed the thaw today and it made you think of summer and of course the Sharks! 

We are excited to announce that we will have all three coaches from last season returning in their positions. We are thrilled to have Coach Sarah back as head coach, Coach Sean as an assistant and the lead preteam coach, and Coach Hayden as an assistant coach. To round out our coaching staff, we are looking to build leadership within the team by opening up a new junior assistant coach position: 

Junior Assistant Coach

We’re excited to announce a new paid Junior Assistant Coach opportunity for our more senior Rockshire swimmers! This role is designed for swimmers who are ready to step into a leadership position and make a positive impact on our team.

Junior Assistant Coaches will work closely with the head coaching staff to:

• Support and, with oversight, lead swim practices
• Encourage and organize swimmers during meets
• Model positive team spirit, sportsmanship, and leadership

This is a paid position, and therefore, applicants must be committed to their role as team leaders, including consistent attendance at all practices and meets.

Eligibility & Application Details

• Open to Rockshire swimmers age 15 and older
• Applicants should submit a resume and cover letter by March 1

• We plan to hire two (2) Junior Assistant Coaches for the Summer 2026 season
• We will be conducting Zoom interviews for Junior Assistant Coaches in March.

Additional Coaching Opportunities. We will also continue to accept applications for Junior and Pre-Team Coach positions for those who wish to assist in a volunteer capacity. Applications for these roles will be available April 1 with team registration.
