Hello Rockshire Sharks!
What a great weekend of swimming and team time:) This week promises to hold more fun and great swimming! Please read all the way through as we are heading towards the end of our season.

1. Coaches Long Course- Tuesday July 9 at 6pm At Rockville Swim Center (355 Martins Lane, Rockville, MD). Warm ups start at 5pm. Congratulations to Jordan Kelly and Clement Yuryev for making the Coaches Long Course meet! We will bringing a tent for spectators. Also, there will be an abridged practice schedule for the regular team:
11& up- 4:15-5:15pm.
10& under- 5:15-6pm.
Preteam will be normal time. Come to CLC to support our Shark CLC swimmers!
2. B meet AWAY at Tally Ho on Wednesday, July 3. Theme: Mermaids and Pirates! Address : 8650 Bells Mill Rd. Potomac, MD 20854 Please be on deck by 4:45pm to walk in as a team! The program will be coming out later. Preteam kickboard races will occur before the start of the meet. ***We still are in need of at least 4 timers and a clerk of course and automation for the meet*** Meet details will be forthcoming. Please join us for ice cream at Baskin Robbins in Potomac Woods plaza to celebrate our last B meet!
3. Thursday, July 11-Team Movie Night! Please Join us to See Despicable Me 4 at Montgomery Mall. Show time is 7:10. Get your advanced purchase tickets HERE.
4. Friday July 12: Friday FUNnight: Join us for a grill out and a team activity after dinner! Don’t forget to sign up here to bring something to share!
5. Come join us for lunch after the meet this week on Saturday at Shake Shack in Cabin John on Saturday and California Tortilla in Cabin John on Sunday. It's a great time to hang out with the team!
6. A Meet AWAY Saturday, July 13 vs Potomac Woods. Theme: Safari. Be on deck at 7:45am! ***We are still in need of a stroke and turn judges and a ribbon writer for this meet*** Join us for lunch afterwards at Shake Shack in Cabin John plaza.
7. PIRC Relays on Sunday, July 14 at Tally Ho Theme: tie Dye/hippie- Please stay tuned for volunteer opportunities. Meet details:
MEET START TIME: 9:00 AM
ARRIVAL TIME: You may enter the pool at 7:45 AM.
WARM-UP INFORMATION:
8:00 AM to 8:15 AM: Tallyho and Regency Estates
8:15 AM to 8:30 AM Old Farm and Rockshire
8:30 AM to 8:45 AM Inverness
THEME:
The theme this year is Star Wars. Show your spirit! Dress as any Star Wars character and bring your lightsabers! Please bring any Star Wars-themed items to decorate your team area.
PARKING:
Each pool can use 10 parking passes and one handicapped parking pass. I have emailed you the passes to print out and bring to the meet.
In addition, each team can use additional “drop-off” parking passes. These permit you to drop off your swimmer at the pool and park elsewhere. The parking attendant at the bottom of the hill will give you a drop-off pass.
FOOD:
We will have a concession stand with breakfast sandwiches, muffins, fruit, coffee, juice, and other snacks for sale.
TEAM AREAS:
The assigned team areas are as follows:
Rockshire: on the long edge of the pool opposite the side with the diving board
Join us at California Tortilla in Cabin John for lunch after the meet!
8. Six Flags team bonding trip Monday, July 15! Join the team for a day of fun at the park! ***Signups are on the bulletin board at the pool.*** we usually leave Rockshire at 9:40am and return by 6pm. Please see details for the day and purchasing tickets here. There will be no practice or preteam on Monday July 15; come with us to Six Flags!

10. Thinking about keeping up and improving your swimming in the winter? Start looking now! Several options are already open for registration and fill up quickly. Here are some options already open:

11. Swim team awards banquet: Sunday, July 21. We will celebrate all of our regular swim team with our yearly awards banquet. Please be sure to RSVP for your family and sign up to bring a dish to share. Thank you!
