1. FRIDAY FUN NIGHT! - This Friday, June 21 we will have our Annual Tie Dye Event!

Please bring one white t-shirt* (per swimmer) AND a gallon sized zip lock bag. Shirts need to be labeled with your swimmers first name/last initial.

Before tie dying (or after once the shirt is washed and dried), your swimmer is invited to decorate their shirt further using a permanent marker/Sharpie.

The activity will take place in the grassy area outside the pool entrance.

Drop off your shirts starting at 4:15.

*A limited number of white shirts will be for sale for $5. (Correct change ONLY)

Directions for care after shirts come out of the tie dye:

  • Place t-shirt into a ziploc bag.
  • Keep in bag for the next 24 hours.
  • Remove from bag and rinse under cold water until the water comes out clear OR
  • Put in washing machine (not with your whites!!!) and wash on cold.
  • Dry and wear to the meet on Wednesday!

Please also sign up for the BBQ Dinner here.

Saturday, June 22- A meet AWAY vs Olney Mill. Theme: Western! Be on deck at 7:45am. Here are some notes from our hosts at Olney Mill:

Pool directions: The Olney Mill pool is located at 3611 Briars Road in Brookeville, Maryland. We are reserving parking in our lot for your team - the larger coned off section closest to the front gate entrance and guardhouse. Please enter the second driveway entrance close to front gate/pool-house. During swim meets, you enter the pool through the gate entrance, not the guardhouse.

Team area: Rockshire’s team area is on the grassy section closest to the baby pool/concessions area. There are some tables with umbrellas and chairs and loungers in your area, but you may want to have some swimmers bring chairs as well. Spectator seating is pool-side, on the pool deck, in rows of chairs between the backstroke flags in front of the guardhouse. We ask that spectators not try to set up their own chairs on the deck, in order to allow space for timers to pass when changing sides. They are welcome to set up chairs in any of the grassy areas of the pool, just not behind the starting end of the pool, the pool deck itself, or by the diving well. Concessions (We will be selling concessions, drinks and coffee, and breakfast items. We can take cash and electronic payments!) are in the baby pool area; please note, the baby pool itself is NOT open during swim meets. The pool-house locker rooms, including bathrooms will be open for use.
