1. Firecracker relays on July 4! Please join us for a morning of fun relays and spirit followed by a light breakfast on deck for all. Swimmers be on deck at 9am and breakfast will follow. This event is for the regular team only. There is no preteam on July 4 or afternoon practice but come to the pool for…

2.  Fourth of July fundraiser! Hang out at the pool and support the team by getting a burger, hot dog, and snacks. We will be selling concessions on the fourth of July from 12-4pm at the pool. Tell your neighbors to come by, hang out and support the team:)

3.  B Meet HOME vs Old Farm Wednesday, July 5. Theme: Safari. Be on deck at 4:45pm. RSVP by Sunday July 2. Preteam races will begin at 5:45pm. Volunteer reminders will go out tomorrow morning. All spots are filled; please let us know if you have questions about your positions!

5:15-5:30pm- OF warmup

5:30-5:45pm- late warmup

5:40pm- timers and officials meetings

5:45pm- National anthem and kickboard races

6pm- meet start time

4.  FRIDAY FUN NIGHT! -This Friday we will have pasta night after practice! There will be a fun team event run by the coaches between dinner and dessert. Please sign up to bring something to eat on the website by Thursday. Please also pick up your team picture if you didn't get it on Wednesday. You can sign up under the jobs button for the event in “meets and events”. Please sign up so we have enough food and drink for everyone:)

5. Saturday, July 8- A meet AWAY at Regency Estates. Theme: Western. Be on deck at 7:45am. Meet details to follow. Please RSVP by Tuesday, July 4 in Swimtopia! We will have lunch at Shake Shack at the Cabin John shopping area after the meet.

6.  Sunday, July 9- Relay Carnival at Inverness! Theme: Circus. Be on Deck at 7:45 am and RSVP by Tuesday, July 4 in Swimtopia. This meet is a meet full of relays only so it is a little shorter and a blast! We have also opened up volunteer positions in swimtopia that we will need to fill for this meet. Please sign up by Thursday! After relay carnival we will be having lunch as a team somewhere close by...TBD... probably not Shake Shack since that will be on Saturday...;)

7. Coaches Long Course- Congratulations to all of our swimmers, Brandon and Dylan Pino and Jordan Kelly, who made the CLC meet! The meet is on Tuesday, July 11 at Rockville Swim Center (355 Martins Lane, Rockville, MD). Meet begins at 6:30pm. We will still have practice and preteam on this day, but swimmers are encouraged to attend to cheer on our teammates participating in this event!

8.  The Banquet is approaching and we have a lot of people working behind the scenes already! Thank you! However, we are in need of a day-of contact and coordinator of the banquet. If you like telling people where to go and what to do (cake here, tablecloths there!) Please sign up to help out! You can find the signup in the event in swimtopia or email us.

9. Pictures to share! If you have pictures from this summer swim team, please upload them into the team drive here. *** Seniors, please upload your photos into this folder: Senior folder. These photos will help to make the slideshow at the end of the year.

10. A Rockshire tradition! We will head to Six Flags on Monday, July 17 for a fun team bonding day instead of team practice. Signup is on the team bulletin board at the pool. Join for a fun day at the park with the swim team!

11. Shark Gear! Don’t delay! In preparation for summer, we will have the same suits as last year. You can buy them HERE. we also have shark gear available via squadlocker here

12. MCSL Adult swim league: The MCSL is organizing an adult swim league this summer after the 18U league is over. Details will be released as they are available, and minimal volunteering will be necessary. The league will be organized through the DMV chapter of Grown up swimming. Only 2 meets left!
